Job Overview
We are looking for the Database Administrator to join our Infrastructure team and become the reliable one in keeping the databases running smoothly and safe. Working in our team will bring you to the new level of experience – together we will create and run optimization volumes, create solutions for stable and reliable infrastructure environment.
What will you do?
- Database parameter tuning for optimal performance
- SQL query optimization
- Monitoring database performance and identifying problems that arise
- Responding to user-reported errors in a timely manner
- Ensuring databases have adequate backup and recovery procedures
- Suggesting improvements for database maintenance and protection
- Designing and creating databases with performance and stability in mind
- Improving process to install or upgrade Database
What are we looking for?
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science or relevant certification
- Experience in deploying and supporting PostgreSQL, MySQL, Clickhouse, MongoDB (any 3 thing from the list would be nice to have)
- Good knowledge of Linux administration and good working skills of operating Bash terminal
- Base knowledge skills of using Networks Use scripting/ programming language as Python, Bash, Ruby, etc.
- Knowledge and skills in writing / improving simple SQL query
- SQL query optimization
- Experience working with GIT version control systems and similar systems
- Analytical mindset and good problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage tasks and time efficiently
- Ability to own the tasks and to take responsibility for decisions
- Fluent English skills
What additional skills will help you stand out?
- Working with High load systems
- Knowledge in High Availability systems as Patroni, Orchestrator
- Knowledge in Airflow and practical skills of using it
- Skills in working and writing Puppet modules
