About the Role:
For this role, we are looking for a DevOps Engineer who is passionate about delivering high-performance distributed web applications. As a DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for architecting and building robust, reliable, performant infrastructure to deliver our mission critical, high-availability applications. You will work with cross-functional teams to come up with solutions to balance performance, cost, and quality. We are looking for someone with experience in supporting a 24×7 commercial service.
Responsibilities
• Works collaboratively with IT, Engineering, product/project managers, QA and other cross-functional teams to deliver quality support and service on time.
• Highly experienced professional, who uses proven DevOps practices in resolving critical issues and broad design matters.
• Works with cloud providers like AWS and Google Cloud, as well as external technical support on upgrades, design issues, and problem resolution.
• Monitors and tunes appropriate systems to ensure optimum level of performance.
• Participate in on-call rotation, which includes 24×7 support of multiple complex environments.
• Document procedures, architectural designs.
• Monitors task automation and implements process improvements; recommends enhancements that result in increased quality and service.
Requirements
• 3 years of applicable work experience
• Knowledge of/familiarity with Kubernetes and/or Docker ecosystem
• Experience in using Amazon Web Services (AWS) or other cloud provider
• Excellent shell scripting and command line skills
• Linux administration experience
• Knowledge of monitoring, logging and cost management tools that integrate with cloud providers
• Previous continuous integration (CI) and deployment (CD) knowledge
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Availability to overlap to U.S. time zones as needed
