We are seeking a talented Frontend Web Engineer to help launch new marketing initiatives, improve our website and multiple landing pages, and work on iterative conversion rate optimization tests. You'll be a key element in taking Superside to the next step. Hopefully you love Javascript and React, and are interested in working with cool technologies like Sanity (headless cms) and Linaria because these will be central to your tech stack.

Some of the things you’ll be actively involved with:

  • Work with top class UI/UX designers and marketers, and roll out state-of-the-art design for the website, built on React and Linaria
  • Collaborate on identifying and resolving bottlenecks, optimizing funnels, and improving bounce rates, conversions and pagespeed.
  • Be involved in all major software engineering aspects: designing, development, testing & support
  • Understand and develop responsive solutions for web-apps
  • Keep track of emerging technologies.
  • Hands-on experience with network diagnostics, network analytics tools

What you’ll need to succeed:

  • 3+ years of experience in Frontend. (Bonus if these 3+ years involved Web design, Web Development, Web Engineering),
  • Great English communication skills,
  • Good understanding of Responsive Web Design,
  • Deep knowledge of Page Speed optimization,
  • Experience with SEO best practices,
  • Well versed in Frontend Development,
  • Experience with React (Hooks).

What your first months will look like:

1st month: This is the time for your onboarding. You get to know how Superside works and is organized. You’ll meet other Supersiders that are starting at the same time as you. The usual new Supersider batch is between 20 and 50 people. Next to the general onboarding, you meet your teammates.

2nd month: Get acquainted to our tech stack, getting to know Marketing processes and needs. Start planning and prioritising activities while getting your hands dirty with executing on some of them

After 3 months: You already work pretty smoothly with your teams and the Marketing team. You keep on building while having a critical eye on what can be improved, tested or launched.

Hiring process:

We want to make sure we hire the right people so we created a hiring process that will help us understand if we’re the right fit for one another. We are remote and it’s critical that we hire self-reliant, autonomous people. Everyone from the team has been through the process. Be assured that by joining Superside, you’ll be part of a talented team, cherry-picked among the best out there.

Our first introduction: 45min introduction call. No need for any formal prep beforehand, we’re here to get to know each other enough to see if we’re a potential good match.

Technical Test: This is where you get to show us your technical skills. We've gotten rid of the old algorithmic, theoretical type of questions and provide real-world testing scenarios/questions that are relevant to our current stack environment.

Technical Interview: This will consist of a 1-hour discussion regarding your technical test. This is your chance to walk us through your work and the logic behind it. During the discussion, you will be given the opportunity to present your thoughts on the technical decisions that were made and the team will be able to ask questions. We want to make sure we’re the right place for you as much as you’re the right fit for us.

Ability assessment: The ability tests have been selected to measure the skills and competencies needed to succeed in the role.

Final interview: The last meeting with the Management team will last around 1 hour and it’s another chance to talk about our mutual expectations, address any concerns, and dive deeper into how you could be successful leading a team in Superside. At this stage, it is clear we want you! We’ll make sure you want to join us too.
