About this role

As a Principal Product Manager, you will be

  • working on the hardest product challenges we have at BRYTER,
  • bringing light to the least well-defined customer problems,
  • shaping a strong product that meets and anticipates our current and future customers’ needs,
  • doing this in a way that strengthens the overall BRYTER platform architecturally and strategically, and
  • inspire your fellow product managers by doing what you do.
  • We realize this is a tall order and not for everyone. Note that we are also looking for a Senior Product Manager, which might be a better fit for you.

You’ll be part of our remote-since-before-Covid, cross-functional product development team, consisting of product managers, designers, developers, and QA engineers. You’ll work on the platform that is revolutionizing how business experts automate their knowledge. We promote simplicity and ease-of-use in an environment where intuitively designed software is hard to find. We remove the monotone and boring work from people’s lives and enable them to automate their knowledge and decision making process.

We are organized in cross-functional teams which work “end-to-end” to ensure our product fits the market need. In these teams, you will work at the intersection of commercial, technology and user experience. This includes working closely with our customers, discussing the latest insights with our sales and customer success teams, and collaborating with our designers and developers to map out and refine our user stories.

In this role, you will be an integral part of our internal product management community which aims to continuously build valuable, usable and feasible product increments. We will empower you to take ownership of one or multiple product artifacts, develop and adapt roadmaps to reflect our latest insights, and be responsible for delivering new features as well as improving existing ones. In addition, you will regularly discuss and align on strategy with the other product managers and the founders.

We are looking to fill roles for different parts of the BRYTER platform, where some specific experiences are a plus:

  • Platform & Infrastructure (Technical PM): making internal products successful, AWS
  • Identity & Access Management (Technical PM): SAML, OIDC, Keycloak, Azure AD
  • Core Language & Engine: programming language design
  • Store: enterprise marketplaces

About you

  • You have 10+ years experience building software. At least 5 of those years in product management, and at least 3 years in enterprise B2B products. You understand how software gets built, because you’ve done it. Ideally you have an engineering/technical background.
  • You understand how Enterprise B2B SaaS works. You’ve integrated external systems, or you’ve developed a public API or SDK. You understand how selling into the Enterprise works, and you’ve worked with customer success teams before.
  • You love uncharted paths. You thrive on starting with just a rough direction and a vague goal, and then working with others to gain clarity, synthesizing and distilling insights, charting a course, and adapting it vigorously as things become clearer.
  • You have built a no-code product or a content management system. Ideally you have already built and shaped platforms that enable non-developers to create things, such as eCommerce systems (e.g. Shopify), app or workflow builders (e.g. Zapier), publishing platforms (e.g. WordPress), form builders (e.g. Typeform).
  • You have a track record in shaping and stewarding a product over a number of years. You think in systems/interfaces/architecture, solving customer problems on the right level of abstraction. You have experienced or driven a change in product strategy, market, geography, or architecture. You have developed a sense for when to “play offense” and when to “play defense”.

This job might not be for you if…

  • you are based outside of CET ±4h time zones
  • you need clear direction and structure to work effectively
  • you have less than 10 years experience in software and 5 years experience in product management

Why apply?

  • You will become part of a diverse and caring community
  • You will work with colleagues that care about the product and the people who build it
  • You will amaze customers who love our product and often express their praise
  • We will support you in becoming the best version of yourself – by providing challenging work, colleagues who you can learn from as well as a personal conference & training budget
  • You make an impact on a core part of our product
