JOB DESCRIPTION
The QA Tester is responsible for the development, maintenance, and execution of automated and manual tests of the company’s software. As a member of an agile delivery team:
- Design, develop, and execute test cases to ensure that the application meets the business’ functional requirements.
- Conform to procedures for software configuration and the delivery pipeline for test development
- Perform acceptance and user experience testing necessary to assure that the software is releasable
- Work with product managers and developers to review features, user stories, and acceptance criteria and estimate effort
- Troubleshoot application and data issues in development and test environments
- Code automated acceptance tests
ESSENTIAL SKILLS
A bachelor’s degree in CIS or equivalent experience with 2 years of experience in QA testing to include:
- Experience developing and maintaining complex automation frameworks and test code.
- Experience with Selenium, Java or similar automation platform for building automated scripts with TDD (Test Driven Development) and BDD (Business Driven Development) approach.
- Experience in QA test case development and documentation.
- Experience with Jira /Rally and Zephyr/Test Rail or similar tools for test management.
- Experience with SQL .
- Knowledge of testing mobile apps using a framework such as Appium is preferred, but not required.
- Must be familiar with common programming patterns. Must be familiar with Linux commands, MacOS and Windows operating systems.

- Must be able to prioritize tasks and accomplish assignments autonomously.
- Must have the demonstrated capacity to learn quickly in a self-directed manner and to keep up with best practices and current technology in the relevant areas.
- Must work well as part of a cross-functional agile delivery team.
- Must have strong verbal and written communication skills and the interpersonal skills necessary to successfully collaborate with teammates.
- Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills equal to the challenges of a complex application and industry.
