Currently we are looking for an experienced Backend Engineer with in-depth knowledge of state-of-the-art software technology. You will become a valuable member of our worldwide software development team and help us execute on our ambitious product road map.
Your Tasks
- Develop, maintain and improve our scalable cloud-based backend systems
- Migrate existing software components to a modern API-Angular driven approach
- Drive our teams technical strategies, vision and architecture
- Mentor fellow developers to raise the bar of your team
- Incorporate new testing and monitoring processes
- Own your code in production and manage the whole lifecycle if it
- Maintain legacy features for as long as they are not re-implemented in our new system
Your Profile:
- You work independently, are goal-oriented and are willing to take over technical ownership
- 3+ years of professional experience with a track record of taking ownership and delivering engineering projects to production
- You have in-depth knowledge of the Java programming language and the application of current Java frameworks and Web technologies (Play Framework 2.x, Akka, Atmosphere, Spring)
- Solid experience in data modeling and architecture in cloud environment
- Ideally you are familiar with AWS (S3, SQS, EC2, Lambda) and Microservice architectures.
- Knowledge in Scala and MongoDB it is a plus.
- Fluent in English
