Job Summary

The Engineering Support Specialist I investigates and solves technical issues for Paycor product engineering teams around the software development pipeline and associated tooling. This position requires a high degree of customer service, technical expertise, and timeliness. The position is responsible for quickly correcting reported issues by providing 1st level assistance and if unable to resolve, through escalation to a senior level within a timely manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supporting the development organization by working through submitted issues (software build and deployment failures, environmental issues, access requests, etc)
  • Connecting to client user PCs remotely to troubleshoot Paycor applications
  • Communication and Trend Analysis Improving reporting of technical issues
  • Assisting upper management in continually improving support processes, including updating and creating documentation as needed.
  • Advising team and management in issues arising from problems identified through support inquiries
  • Communicating potential issues throughout the submitted issues (software build and deployment failures, environmental issues, access requests, etc)
  • Maintaining a working environment that is energized and consistently demonstrates the Paycor service commitment
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of one (1) year help desk experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft SQL a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrates strong organization and time management skills
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Takes initiative
