Technical Support Engineer Specialist

About the team:

The FIS Cross Asset Trading and Risk Platform team is a global team supporting clients worldwide for trading, risk and portfolio life-cycle management applications. This role is a technical position to work with the larger Client Experience team for complex issue resolution, planning and continuous improvement, and related application support.

What you will be doing:

  • Provides support to customer/users where the issue is highly technical or sophisticated in nature.
  • Coordinate queue management and resolution times for technical support tickets.
  • Liaise with functional support teams to address technical support items and assist the team with client triage sessions.
  • Work on small CX projects independently or have ownership of project execution when multiple staff members are working on the project.
  • Review support transition checklists received from implementation.
  • Train junior support engineers to help perform day to day support operations

What you bring:

  • Participate in all phases of SDLC lifecycle activities and production rollout
  • Ensure compliance to standards and best practices for Release Engineering Standards, development of automated scripts, change management etc.
  • Experience in using Agile/Scrum practices and methodologies
  • Work experience with MS SQL server, Windows Operating system and some knowledge of Microsoft tools such as Sysinternals
  • 3+ years of experience.

Added bonus if you have:

  • Experience working around financial markets and instruments and software solutions for the same
  • Linux or Unix knowledge
  • Scripting experience and some exposure to Python or Power Shell
