As a Tool Engineer, you will be developing tools and solutions for our creative teams, improving the artist's productivity and impacting the speed and flow of the production of the game. In close collaboration with other developers, servers, products and creative you will identify issues and needs and will develop tools and applications which will constantly change and better the studio pipeline and the final quality of the product, enabling the artists more creative and less technical challenges.

Responsibilities:

  • Creating new tools and improving existing ones
  • Automating redundant processes
  • Coming up with solutions to everyday problems in the artist workflow
  • Helping diagnose and solve technical problems in the production
  • Testing and integrating into the pipeline new software and applications
  • Collaborate with designers, artists, developers, and product managers to develop solutions and better the pipeline
  • Working effectively in a deadline-driven environment and having the ability to juggle multiple projects

REQUIREMENTS

  • 2+ years of experience working as an artist (designer, animator, or 3d artist)
  • 1+ years of experience working as a developer
  • Proficiency in any of the following programming languages: Python, JavaScript, C#
  • Experience working as an artist or you have developed tools for any of the following 3d applications: Maya, 3Ds Max, Cinema 4D, Unity, Unreal
  • Experience working as an artist or you have developed tools for any of the following motion graphics applications: After Effects, Animate, Nuke, Fusion
  • Ability to learn fast and work independently
  • Positive and curious attitude
  • Detail-oriented, very organized, flexible, and efficient
  • Strong communication skills
  • Previous experience working as a Tool Engineer in the gaming industry or as a TD or a CG supervisor in the television and film industries is a plus
  • A good sense of humor is a double plus
