UX/UI Designer – Junior (Full-time)

The Belgrade team consists of designers and developers who work closely to create products, which are both usable and beautiful.
We create CMS based websites, custom digital interfaces and applications. From small scale to large scale, we develop high-performance product experiences that are elegant and simple to use. We marry design and engineering language in ways that produce impactful and memorable experience journeys.

Job position

We are looking for a junior UX/UI designer to join us! You will be responsible for delivering the best online user experience, which makes your role important for our success and ensuring customer satisfaction. You will work closely with a talented team and are not afraid to iterate with strategy.

The person we need

  • Has been working in the IT industry for 3+ years
  • Is great at speaking and writing English
  • Believes in having the Design Process and would like to participate in shaping it
  • Embrace challenges and is open to discussions
  • Takes and gives feedback with grace
  • Is capable of collaborating with higher management and teammates
  • Is capable of self-organization and prioritizing tasks when needed
  • Values teamwork: demonstrates ability to collaborate with cross-functional and distributed teams, involving designers, developers and QA engineers
  • Work enthusiastically: has passion for the work and the role and is always eager to learn and acquire new skills

Required skills

  • Applying basic UX principles
  • Ability to understand customer needs, motivations and behaviors and translate them into actionable deliverables
  • Ability to apply design processes from beginning to end based on industry best practices to ensure world-class design experiences
  • Proficient in Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD and prototyping tools
  • Experience with Design Systems
  • To lead the UI design process to create trendy, simple and high-value solutions for complex visual and interactive design
  • A good eye for visual design principles (typography, layout, color, etc.)
  • The ability to design vector illustrations and icons sets
  • Create proper handoff and prepare UI designs that developers will find easy-to-use

What you’ll be doing

  • Collaborating with higher management, senior designers and developers
  • Plan and implement new designs, but also optimize existing ones
  • Create flows, wireframes, prototypes, moodboards and stylescapes
  • Conduct UX research
  • Web design (expect that your work will be tweaked by senior designers and you should be open for constructive discussions)
  • Build design systems (Guidelines, Styles, Component libraries, Typography…)
  • Responsive design
  • Prepare files for handover (this is where your collaboration with the developers will be crucial)
  • Prepare design documents that explain actions inside the solutions and maintain communication with the developers team during the development phase
  • Graphic design (create client and in-house presentations, PPT and other document templates using branding guidelines, illustrations, logos…)
