IT Support Engineer

Your tasks as IT Support Engineer:

  • Provides technical support in the delivery, configuration, setup and maintenance of IT equipment
  • Maintains computer networks and associated devices
  • Troubleshoot computer systems, hardware, and software
  • Responds to requests by phone, email or remote access
  • Provides customer support (depending on the case with the involvement of manufacturers, external providers), e.g. analysis of malfunctions in hardware and software, network and interfaces and solution development, initiation, coordination and harmonization in terms of troubleshooting
  • Maintains contact with colleagues from other IT teams and works on resolving common open issues
  • Proposes and actively implements measures to improve the company's business and improve internal instructions and procedures

Your profile as IT Support Engineer:

  • Successfully completed University degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent qualification
  • Knowledge of MS Windows Server 2016 and server services (DNS, DHCP, Print, WSUS, etc), networking fundamentals with TCP/IP v4 usage experience (IP subnets, routing, VLANs) and knowledge of Cisco switches configuration and administration;
  • Good understanding of high-availability and disaster recovery; knowledge of disk storage hardware and tape technologies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences such as: operations, IT and engineering personnel
