Polazak is a Serbian journey-planning platform. Its database incorporates the complete timetable dataset of Serbian suburban, inter-city and international bus and railway timetables and tariffs. We invest substantial efforts to improve the quality of our reference data through regular cooperation and systematic data verification with bus operators and station managers. Current activities are focused on development of B2B solutions for transport operators and enhancing user experience on the Polazak website and application. Our aim is to remain a reliable platform for providing timetables and ticket booking in Serbia and the Western Balkan region.

JOB SUMMARY

As a Front-End Developer, you’ll be responsible for crafting high-performance, smooth, and user-friendly interfaces, in a fast-changing environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Our ideal candidate is someone who understands customer needs and is devoted to building a state-of-art user interface. Some of your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Build web applications in React and NextJS Stack
  • Maintain current stack and develop new features
  • Develop, test, and release web applications autonomously
  • Stay up to date with industry state of art trends and best practices

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven hands-on experience as a Frontend developer (minimum 2 years)
  • Proficient knowledge of JavaScript
  • Have solid knowledge of Typescript
  • Knowledge of CSS and HTML5 fundamentals
  • Proficient knowledge of React and its core principles
  • Knowledge of React Native will be advantage
  • Familiarity with Material-UI will be a plus
  • Experience working with REST-style API
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Extensive experience or understanding of at least one source code versioning system (Git will be a plus)
  • Have experience in building maintainable and efficient tests
  • Have a deep understanding of global state management (Redux toolkit will be a plus)
