On behalf of our client, a UK company offering authentication solutions, we are currently recruiting a remote Assistant Test Engineer to be part of the QA team entrusted with improving the development pipeline and customer offering.
The QA Team is responsible for setting up the infrastructure to run tests and maintain test environments and assists in the development of product code via pair development and/or reviews. The team is also involved in contributing to process improvements across the Development Operations teams and works with the Development team to capture and reuse automated Unit Test Cases, Test Stubs and Drivers, and other Development test objects, amongst other responsibilities.
The QA Team also reviews requirements, specifications, user documentation, help files, and other project documentation to ensure the quality of the test frameworks and works with the Operations team to create and maintain an automated build verification ("smoke") test.
The selected Assistant Test Engineer will be expected to measure, design and implement QA & Test solutions with high autonomy in partnership with other Test engineers and staff. Under the guidance of line management, the Engineer will also perform tasks that ensure compliance with regional safety, financial and data compliance standards. The selected individual will also stay up to date with industry technologies & practices and translating these opportunities into tangible opportunities in the pipeline.
We are looking for someone with 2+ years of experience in software development testing, with experience in API test automation and end-to-end automation testing.
The selected individual would also have basic experience in the following technologies or processes:
- JAVA/JavaScript Application Deployments
- Postman, Cypress/Selenium
- CI/CD, Git
- Test runners and test management tools
- Agile/Scrum/Kanban/Jira/Confluence
- Linux & Windows Platforms
