Purpose of the Role
The passionate extract-transform-load (ETL) developer will be joining a growing and dynamic team of professionals. The team is part of a project associated with the premium distribution of cannabis and related products. The aim for the end-user is to get the best shopping experience and quality of products. As an ETL developer, you will bring your expertise in data preparation, analysis and reporting, you will carry out necessary troubleshooting and be involved with the communication between all teams.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Understand the business requirements and processes in order to fully implement the gathered data
- Work on data model design, implementation, and reporting both presentation layer design and development
- Take the lead on the API and ELT programming activities, along with providing hands-on guidance
- Explore and analyze sources of data, help decide the usability, data structure, limitations and the quality issues
- Extract, design and implement larger amounts of data in a way to meet the needs of the business
- Create and maintain established processes
- Test and troubleshoot any issues that may arise
- Keep your work well documented, maintain and update existing files, both functional and technical
Required Experience & Knowledge
- Experience with application development and database design
- Hands-on experience with Talend is a must
- Strong knowledge of SQL programming, experience with ETL tools
- Any knowledge of programming languages would be considered an advantage

Required Education & Qualifications
- Advanced level of both spoken and written English language
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Computer Science or relevant experience
- Any relevant certificate would be considered a plus
