JOB DESCRIPTION
As Service Reliability Engineer, you will maximize reliability of our Remote Vehicle Data platform. You will be working with the engineering team which develops cloud-based service backend. Same team is also making sure that the platform run seamlessly for our business customers providing regular and off-hours infrastructure maintenance. Your role is to keep everyone aware of reliability topics and owning technical documentation needed for the infrastructure maintenance.
You will collaborate with a diverse international team of experts and have an opportunity to work on multidisciplinary projects related to advanced vehicle diagnostics.
IN YOUR DAY TO DAY JOB, YOU WILL:
- Update runbooks, tools and documentation to help prepare on-call team members for future incidents
- Conduct post-incident reviews (post-mortems), guiding the prevention of future incidents and shaping the incident response
- Gather and analyze metrics from systems and applications to assist in fault finding and performance tuning
- Collaborate with the development team to improve testing, monitoring and release procedures
- Build knowledge of analyzing the system state and faults
- Take part in fixing and supporting escalations
- Automate operations-related procedures
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or other technical fields
- Experience with programming (structured and OO) and experience in system administration / devOps field
- Proactive approach and ownership for system stability and performance
- Ability to work effectively in remote, international and cross-functional teams
- Experience with cloud-based solutions, SaaS and potentially IoT
- Experience with agile development frameworks and tools (especially JIRA, Confluence, Zendesk)
- Good communication skills in a multicultural environment
- Self-organized and "can do" attitude
- Good time management
WOULD BE A PLUS
- Experience with distributed storage technologies like NFS, HDFS, Ceph, S3 as well as dynamic resource management frameworks (Mesos, Kubernetes, Yarn)
