Job Overview:
The Sr DevOps Engineer is an exciting role that provides a strategic vision and tactical implementation using frameworks utilizing DevOps best practices in a cloud environment. The Ideal candidate will be a driven, self-motivated individual, passionate about innovation who enjoys working collaboratively across teams to ensure consistent and performant approaches to software and infrastructure. If you possess excellent verbal communication skills with a deep understanding of cloud platforms, problem solving and process management skills within a fast paced, evolving, and dynamic environment, we are looking for you!
Responsibilities:
- Management of development and production environments Contribute to installation, deployment and management scripts
- Design and assist in the setup and maintenance of the build / release infrastructure Design and assist in the implementation of DevOps tools that reliably manage application and environment delivery
- Improve predictability and reliability of infrastructure through monitoring tools Assist in automation of operations and processes
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues within cloud environments Advise on cloud architecture requirements
Qualifications:
- 3+ years relevant work experience in DevOps
- Experience with Cloud Platforms – preferred experience in Azure Experience configuring Blue/Green deployment models Experience with Docker & Kubernetes
- Understanding of automation and configuration management
- A working understanding of scripting languages (Powershell, YAML, JSON, BASH) Ability to generate / maintain scripts for automation
- Network management skills (firewalls, DNS, NAT) are essential Version Control utilizing GIT in a team development environment
- Excellent written & verbal communication, problem solving and process management skills Experience with Continuous Integration tools(Azure DevOps, TeamCity, Octopus or Jenkins)
- Desire to work in a fast paced, evolving, growing, dynamic environment
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience working with an enterprise CMS (Sitecore, Optimizely, or Adobe) *** Experience with automated load testing tools
- Comfortable supporting incremental code deployments Understanding business goals and objectives to deliver a solution
- Experience working collaboratively in a cross-team environment to ensure consistent approaches for project delivery
- Comfortable engaging with clients to support new requirements and existing infrastructure or potential incidents
- A passion for innovation and achieving new certifications for relevant technologies Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or 6 years industry experience is preferred
