Responsibilities:
- Creating tools for animation production
- Work with client's animation environment: tools debugging, rigging, export…
- Work with client's game environment: setup animation systems – state machine, blendspaces…
- Support project's animation teams across projects.
- Maintain excellent communication with other team members.
- Suggest improvements for given pipeline.
- Guide Junior tech animators.
- Create project documentation
- Seek to constantly raise the quality bar, develop solutions, and work with the Animation and Art Departments to streamline processes.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of AAA game production.
- Examples of Full body and facial rigs, Tools, State machine(UE4, Unity)
- Ability to build full tech animation production pipeline.
- Full body and facial rigging
- Python scripting
- Expert knowledge of Maya Max and Motion builder.
- Strong knowledge of Unreal, Unity or any proprietary engines
- Experience working with both keyframe animation and motion capture data
- A strong understanding of video game development pipelines.
- Self-direction and the ability to work autonomously as well as with a team
