Purpose of the Role
We are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to be responsible for leading a successful team of software engineers, working in a dynamic environment using Agile methodologies. The project involves a fast past growth multi-brand company, developing both Web and Mobile applications hosted in AWS infrastructure.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Incumbent for team allocations, organization, and work tracking for several projects
- Prioritize product and customer requirements, evaluate market trends and competition, in order to advise on subsequent features to be developed
- Liaise between different participants, such as stakeholders and technical personnel (developers, QAs, marketing, customer support, etc), creating an effective environment
- Solid technical business partner, working with both operations, sales, and marketing departments, to offer strong-minded decisions regarding performance optimization and site availability
- Participate in on-call rotation for Major Incident Management leadership
Required Experience & Knowledge
- Solid experience managing Web and Mobile application projects, with demonstrable expertise in PHP/Laravel, Python, HTML/CSS, Node.js, and SQL (MySQL, Postgres); responsive design; and applicable web development frameworks.
- Knowledge of architected distributed systems using AWS, desirable serverless and microservices
- Experience designing and developing RESTful web services and other integration methodologies
- Excellent understanding of technical aspects, user experience, and business capabilities for different products

Required Education & Qualifications
